About the Trickies

An independent Nottingham Forest supporters club, planted firmly in Ohio.

The Ohio Trickies are Forest fans in the Buckeye State, a mix of Nottingham ex-pats, American converts, and everyone who fell for the Garibaldi red. We came together for a simple reason: watching Forest is better with other Reds.

We started as a handful of people crowded around one screen, and we've grown into a proper matchday crew. Whether it's a 7:30am kickoff or a Wednesday night European night, we're there, scarves up and voices loud.

The name is a nod to the Forest nickname (the "Tricky Trees") and our Ohio home. Our badge fuses the club's iconic tree and River Trent waves with the outline of Ohio and the buckeye leaf. Two worlds, one club.

What we're about

  • Showing up for every match, home and away, cup and league.
  • Making newcomers feel like regulars from the first whistle.
  • Repping Forest across Ohio and doing the badge proud.

Want in?

No sign-up, no dues. Turn up at Grandad's Pizza & Pub on Bethel Rd for any match. That's the whole membership process.

Where we meet

With thanks to Combustion

Before Grandad's, Combustion Clintonville was our home for years. They took in a scrappy group of Reds, gave us the big screen every match day, hosted the North American Forest supporters meetup, and even brewed us our own beer: European Nights, a Spaghett-style lager. Massive thanks to them, go drink their beer.
